This was always going to be an uphill task for Moyes. His first year at a club with huge expectations from fans, players and club, he will have done well to keep the team in the top four, but as it stands he is really being given a run for his money. The likes of Chelsea and Man City are surely guaranteed to be top 4, while Liverpool and Arsenal have surprised many by their good start to the season, Tottenham have their own aspirations and the likes of Everton and Southampton continue to impress and overachieve. Over the course of the season Moyes will have to really identify which areas require strengthening and not only bring in the right players, he will also have to get rid of some who are just not up to standard (ie: Ashley Young, Anderson, Nani, etc). ... |
